Etimoloji

From Proto-Finnic *lük'äit'äk (“to push, shove”) (compare Estonian lükkama (“to push”), Veps lükäita (“to throw, push, leave”)), from Proto-Uralic *lükkä-. * (to postpone, delay): Probably a semantic loan from Swedish skjuta; further corroborated by the fact that this sense is first attested as a compound verb ylöslykätä, directly mirroring Swedish uppskjuta, skjuta upp.
