Etimoloji

A semi-calque of Turkish yaşayış (“being, way of life”) (Ottoman Turkish یاشایش (yaşayış)); the verb root йәшә- (yəşə-) is cognate with Turkish yaşa- (“to live”), while the suffix -iş is borrowed "as is" and cannot be reestablished or reinterpreted in Bashkir.
