Etimoloji
Morphologically, from ταχυδρομ(είο) n (tachydrom(eío), “post office”) or older ταχυδρομ(εῖον) (tachydrom(eíon)) + -ώ (-ó, verbal suffix for 2nd conjugation) or as a learned borrowing from Koine Greek ταχυδρομῶ (takhudromô, “run fast”, conjugation in -έω) in the sense of modern ταχυδρόμος (tachydrómos, “postman”). The expected form of 1888 ταχυδρομίζω (tachydromízo) is obsolete.
