Etimoloji

Learned borrowing from Ancient Greek ἀπελευθερῶ (apeleutherô), contracted form of ἀπελευθερόω (apeleutheróō, “to emancipate (a slave), to manumit”), with semantic loan from French libérer. By surface analysis, απ- (ap-) + ελευθερώνω (eleftheróno) or απελεύθερος (apeléftheros) + -ώνω (-óno).
