köken: Literally meaning thanks [be] to the dick, metaphorically understandable as "to make such obvious deductions, clearly anything, including something as worthless and common as a dick, could have prompted you"
köken: 진(眞) (jin, “truth”) + -짜 (-jja) of unclear origin, perhaps nativisation of 자(字) (ja, “character”, Sino-Korean) or a compound -ㅅ- (-s-) + 자(字) (ja). Presumably replaced Middle Korean 진딧 (cintis), from the same Chinese etymon and with the same meaning.
Used other than figuratively or idiomatically: see älä, hitossa.: for God's sake, don't (...) · no shit; no shit, Sherlock (response to an obvious statement)
