Tanım
•ventilation: · the mechanical system used to circulate and replace air · the bodily process of breathing; the inhalation of air to provide oxygen, and the exhalation of spent air to remove carbon dioxide
köken: From *tereze "window", presumably from Persian دریچه (dariča). In Bashkir, the -z- became interdental between vowels (following the regular Bashkir development), and metathesis took place: täräzä → *täräðä → täðerä → täðrä. The pleophonic form тәҙерә (täðerä) is also attested in dialects. Cognate with Tatar тәрәзә (täräzä), Kazakh терезе (tereze), Kyrgyz терезе (tereze), Karachay-Balkar терезе…
köken: From Middle Dutch rame. Cognate with Middle Low German rāme, Old High German rama (German Rahmen). Origin uncertain, but perhaps related with English rim, Saterland Frisian Rim.
köken: Inherited from Old Galician-Portuguese janella, from Vulgar Latin *iānuella, diminutive of Latin iānua (“door”). Compare Galician xanela, Mirandese jinela. Related to Mozarabic יאנה (yʔnh).
köken: From Old Swedish fynster, finster, from Middle Low German vinster, from Latin fenestra. Replaced Native Old Swedish vindögha, from Old Norse vindauga.
window (opening for light and air) · sash (the opening part of a window) · window (period of time that acts as a limited opportunity)
çekim: çoğul ikkunat · tamlayan ikkunan
köken: A variant of earlier and now dialectal akkuna (see it for more). First attested in 1644. The initial vowel, also found in Ingrian ikkuna, Karelian ikkuna, Ludian ikkun and Veps ikun, may be due to influence from Russian ико́на (ikóna) (possibly even earlier Old East Slavic икона (ikona, “icon”)). The computing sense is a semantic loan from English window.
