Etimoloji
From Arabic سَيِّدُنَا (sayyidunā, literally “our master”), used among Arabic-speaking Muslims as a general title for prophets and saints. After rechristianization it was probably identified with Latin dominus (noster) and therefore restricted to Jesus. Analyzable as sid + -na.
