Etimoloji
Inherited from Ottoman Turkish چول (çul, “haircloth, a horse's covering or blanket, a horse-cloth”), from Persian جل (joll) or جول (jūl, “horse-covering, saddlecloth”), shares common origin with Arabic جُلّ (jull, “horse-covering, saddlecloth”). Cognate with Azerbaijani çul, Turkmen jul, Uyghur جۇل (jul), Uzbek jul.
