çekim: çoğul दादाओं
köken: Inherited from Proto-New Indo-Aryan *दाद्द (dādda) + Middle Indo-Aryan -𑀓- (-ka-), from onomatopoeic nursery reduplication. Cognate with Assamese দাদা (dada), Bengali দাদা (dada), Gujarati દાદો (dādo), Marathi दादा (dādā), Nepali दाइ (dāi), and Punjabi ਦਾਦਾ (dādā). Compare Sanskrit तात (tātá, “a father; a term of affection to a junior or senior”).
From Proto-Malayic *akiʔ. Changes in the form of this word can be reconstructed via these stages: *akiʔ > *ka-akiʔ > *kə-akiʔ > *kakiʔ > kakeʔ, from which the noun was derived. Prbably equivalent to kak + aki.
