⟨ko₂ro₂mo₂⟩ → /koromo/ From Old Japanese. Appears in the Kojiki completed in 712 CE. Attested in the Nihon Shoki of 720 with the phonetic spelling 虚呂望 ⟨ko₂ro₂mo₂⟩. Ultimate derivation unclear.
