Etimoloji

Construction of i + ur och skur (“in ur and shower”), roughly meaning “through blustery and hefty precipitation”; ur being an old word for cold blustery precipitation, mainly snowdrift, sometimes just blustery weather and thereof, and skur (“shower, burst of sudden hefty precipitation”).
