Etimoloji
Likely a borrowing from Polish skóra, from Proto-Slavic *skora (“bast, skin”), from Proto-Indo-European *(s)ker- (“to cut”), whence English carnage, cortex, carrion, corium, scurf and excoriate. Doublet of скора́ (skorá), the inherited East Slavic form. (whore): Compare typologically Latin scortum (cognate via PIE), Latin pellicula.
