Etimoloji
Inherited from Old East Slavic седмъ (sedmŭ), borrowed from Old Church Slavonic седмъ (sedmŭ), compared dialectal сёмый (sjómyj). From Proto-Slavic *sedmъ (“seventh”), from earlier *sebdmъ < *septmъ, from Proto-Balto-Slavic *septmas, from Proto-Indo-European *septmós.
