Etimoloji

From прокля́тый m (prokljátyj, “cursed, damned”) + вопро́с m (voprós, “question”). The phrase appeared in an 1858 translation by Mikhail Larionovitch Mikhailov of a German-language poem by Heinrich Heine and saw use in Russian literary and academic circles subsequently.
