Etimoloji

From не́бо (nébo) + -о- (-o-) + скло́н (sklón). Coined by the poet Ivan Ivanovich Martynov (Иван Иванович Мартынов) in 1793. It has also been interpreted as a calque of the Latin term declinatio caeli (inclination of the sky), meaning geographical latitude.
