Etimoloji
Literally, “Sicilian lightning”. The term is said to have been coined by Polish psychiatrist and sexologist Zbigniew Lew-Starowicz. A scene from Mario Puzo's novel The Godfather is cited as the source, but in which the word thunderbolt appears in a similar function. Possibly also inspired by Italian colpo di fulmine (literally, “stroke of lightning”).
