Etimoloji
From Portuguese mirra (“myrrh, skeleton, mummy”) or Dutch mirre (“myrrh”). The kanji spelling 木乃伊 is an example of jukujikun. This spelling was borrowed from Chinese 木乃伊 (mùnǎiyī, “mummy”).
