寝(ね) (ne, “sleeping”, 連(れん)用(よう)形(けい) (ren'yōkei, “stem or continuative form”) of the verb 寝(ね)る (neru, “to sleep”)) + 言(こと) (koto, “word”). The koto changes to goto as an instance of rendaku (連濁).
