dean: · a dignitary or presiding officer in certain church bodies, especially an ecclesiastical dignitary, subordinate to a bishop, in charge of a chapter of canons
çekim: çoğul dekan-dekan
köken: From Dutch decaan (“dean”), from Late Latin decānus.
köken: The "mole" sense is derived by STEDT from Proto-Sino-Tibetan *bwəj (“(bamboo) rat”), which has been further linked by others to *b-jəw-n ~ bwəj (“rabbit, rat”). Compare Tibetan བྱི་བ (byi ba, “mouse”). The "ringworm" sense is grouped with the "mole" sense by MED, but implicitly separated by STEDT, which leaves the origin open (pwê "ringworm"), and the word is not mentioned by Luce 1981 either.
