Kivennapa

/ˈkiʋenˌnɑpɑ/
FINCE → TR

Tanım

Pervomayskoye, Leningrad Oblast (former municipality of Finland within territory ceded due to World War II, now in Russia)

Etimoloji

From Old Swedish kivenäb (“wooden rampart of a fortress”) (compare Swedish kivenäbb), from Middle Low German kīvenibbe, from kîven (“to fight, quarrel”) + nibbe (“beak, bill”). Superficially kiven (“of rock, of stone”, genitive) + napa (“navel, pole, pivot”), although this is a folk-etymological form.
