Etimoloji
First attested in the 1890s in the form ’t is of een engeltje op je tong piest, with een often being replaced by ’n. First used partially in an 1893 story by Jacobus van Looy, who omits piest, then used in full in an 1897 story by Herman Heijermans. Literally, “as if a little angel [e.g. a putto] pees on your tongue”.
